A holding deposit or card details must be left with Script to Screen for all items hired, the amount charged for any loss of damage will be assessed upon return of the costume/garment/prop.
Should there be any loss of damage or late return to or of the costume, the replacement or repair will be charged to the debit or credit card information or deducted from the cash bond or cheque that the company holds as the security bond.
All costumes must be returned in the condition in which they were hired, failure to do so will result in additional charges.
It is the hirers responsibility to ensure that the garments will be a suitable fit as per measurement guide/providing Script to Screen with accurate measurements in preparation for alterations/alternative garments being chosen. It is the hirers responsibility to ensure that the costume they have chosen to hire is the correct costume and that they are happy with the costumes look/style/quality. If you are unsure of this please contact Script to Screen and they can advise on exact measurements/fabric composition/quality/fastenings etc. Script to Screen can accept no responsibility for garments that are later deemed not suitable or ill fitting, and in these cases no refund of hire fee can be considered.
Any alterations or additions to the costume hired (unless agreed) will be considered damage and the cost incurred in restoring the costume will be deducted from the deepest/card details held.
All costumes must be returned by the date specified on the hire docket. Late returns will be charged at 25% of the total hire price per each day until the costume is returned to Script to Screen. If the hirer is returning the costume themselves whether that is in person or via their own postal choice this must be done on time and at a time a date agreed by Script to Screen. If Script to Screen are organising this collection of the costume for the return and the hirer is not in on the date and time of the collection the same charges apply. If after 2 weeks the costume has still not been returned it will be deemed lost and the hirer will be invoiced accordingly for the replacement of the costume.
Cancellation of the re-ordered costumes will result in a credit note being given. This credit note can be used for another hire within a 12 month period of the initial hire date.
Script to Screen accepts no responsibility for any footwear hired. Footwear is worn at the costumes own risk. This however does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Not all costumes have been fire proofed, for safety sake, therefore, extra care must be taken when wearing the costume. Under no circumstances must any juveniles be allowed to wear the hired garments.
Goods bought may be returned for exchange within 28 days of purchase, provided they are accompanied with a valid receipt as proof of purchase. Any garments purchased and brought back for an exchange will be checked to ensure that they have not been worn. Please note that eyelashes and make up can not be exchanged or refunded except under special circumstances.
